Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems for high availability and scalability.
- Ensure database systems operate efficiently and without error.
- Manage database access, develop processes for optimizing database queries.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, recovery, and patching.
- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate databases with existing applications.
- Provide support for web-application development from a database perspective.
- Optimize the performance of the database environment using tuning and monitoring tools.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in database management, AWS services, and web-application development.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with MongoDB, including database design, performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS services related to database management and deployment.
- Proficiency in Java, HTML5, and the development of web-applications.
- Familiarity with data privacy and protection guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Certifications in MongoDB, AWS, or other relevant technologies would be a plus.
- Experience with other database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) is a plus.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
