About the Role
Our client, a global leader in its industry, is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their IT team in Geneva. In this role, you will be responsible for network operations, security, and optimization, ensuring a high-performance and secure infrastructure. You'll collaborate with global IT teams, implement new technologies, and enhance network security while working in a follow-the-sun support model.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Ensure day-to-day network operations and troubleshoot performance issues
✅ Monitor and analyze network performance, escalating issues as needed
✅ Upgrade and maintain network equipment to ensure stability and security
✅ Implement and manage firewalls (Palo Alto) and network security solutions
✅ Design and deploy LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi networks (Aruba, Cisco Meraki)
✅ Collaborate with IT teams globally to improve systems and security compliance
✅ Automate network tasks using Python, Ansible, and scripting tools
Your Profile
✔ 8-10 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an international environment
✔ Strong expertise in Cisco networking (CCNP preferred), routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), and switching (Catalyst, Nexus)
✔ Experience with SD-WAN, low-latency circuits, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
✔ Knowledge of proxy solutions (McAfee, Zscaler, Palo Alto) and WAF (F5 Silverline)
✔ Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, ThousandEyes)
✔ Automation skills (Python, Ansible) required
✔ Ability to work in on-call rotations and outside business hours
Nice-to-Have Skills
➕ Experience with Trading Market Data environments
➕ Knowledge of Audiocode SBC & Microsoft Teams telephony
