Senior Financial Analyst
This role will report to Manager, Solothurn Finance and will support an operational biological manufacturing plant in Solothurn, Switzerland. This is a temporary role to provide coverage during an extended medical leave. He/she will support all budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. He/she will strive to ensure accurate accounting and adequate controls.
This position requires on-site presence at a minimum of 3 days per week, potentially more during busy periods.
Accountability Description |
1. Support budgeting / forecasting activities. Monitor and report monthly business performance against budgets/forecasts. Identify and understand drivers of variances and risk factors to meeting targets and be able to communicate variances effectively. |
2. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Reponsible for month-end accounting and classifications of costs. |
3. Support the capital spending process, including month-end accruals, capital forecasts, and interface with the capital planning system. Partner closely with the site Engineering department on the execution and monitoring of the capital forecasts. |
4. Ensure effective financial vendor management. Work closely with key supplies monitoring spending and ensuring all the compliance requirements are met. |
