Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a large financial services company in Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior Java Application Developer.
Location: Zürich
Start date: 01.01.2025 - flexible
End date: 31.12.2025 - with possibility of extension/ internalization
Main responsibilities
- Exert your excellent Java developing skills with focus on back-end development in the area of primary market trading and trading GUI for the secondary market
- Responsible to keep the application compliant to internal and external regulations
- Translate user expectations and business requirements into state of the art solution designs following best practice in Java development
- Work closely in an interdisciplinary team of developers, testers, product owners and business stakeholders in an agile environment (SCRUM and SAFe)
Your skills:
- 4-6 years of professional hands-on experience in software engineering, with focus on multi-threaded applications development in Java (Java 8+, SpringBoot, WildFly, SOAP and REST services).
- A backpack of experience that includes excellent database knowledge with SQL and Hibernate.
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented design, event-based message systems, and database design and development and may be also about FIX protocol or financial markets and their infrastructure.
- A positive and result-driven attitude with a high sense for quality, systematic thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
- Communicative, team-oriented and resilient personality - German and/or Spanish are a plus.
