Overview of the position:

For our client, a large bank in Zurich, we are looking for a Tax Information Exchange Specialist to fulfil duties and responsibilities related to FATCA, CRS and Economic Substance reporting across the global jurisdictions. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring the appropriate governance and control infrastructure is in place to meet the demand for the ever-evolving regulatory environment.

Location: Zurich

Remote Working: On-site preferred

Main responsibilities:

• Work with the management to ensure all FATCA and CRS registrations across various jurisdictions including Cayman, Jersey, Switzerland, Bahamas, Singapore and BVI are up to date.
• Assist in the preparation of self-certification forms for Trusts / Entities. This is for all our trusts and companies, and also involves queries from the tax information reporting team.
• Review the CRS and FATCA entity classifications and the reportable persons within the control framework.
• Assisting the team in responding to CRS and FATCA queries from Bankers/ controllers on tax reporting queries.
• Assist with the preparation of the Jersey tax returns and the Economic Substance (ES) filings in multiple jurisdictions.
• Follow the department procedures, including documenting the key controls throughout the process.

Your expertise:

• Master or Bachelor degree in Law, a legal background is preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a similar function within a bank or financial institution is a must.
• Experience in CRS, FATCA and Economic Substance reporting.
• Strong knowledge and technical proficiency in identifying the legal and tax documents relative to trust and companies.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Business fluent in English, any additional languages a plus.
