Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for an Active Directory & Azure Infrastructure Engineer.

Location: Zürich

Main responsibilities

• Responsible for on-premise and cloud Active Directory services and domain controllers, as well as server infrastructure on-prem and in Azure
• Study, analyze and reverse engineer the Active Directory Services and accountable to deliver continuous improvements. Design, implement and operate hosting services in Azure utilizing common IaaS components
• Accountable for the Domain Controllers, on-prem and Azure infrastructure technology stack including the supporting tools and services (e.g. storage, hypervisor, HCI, backup and systems management, ADCS, Azure AD Sync)
• Define measurements for the availability and performance of the Active Directory service and the server infrastructure, recognize patterns with statistical methods and suggest improvements
• Define availability targets, service level objectives, error budgets and how to spend it in order to optimize higher net promotion score and lower total cost of ownership for Active Directory and Azure IaaS

Your skills:

• 5 years' experience in managing on-premise Active Directory services, domain controllers, server automation and 3 years with Azure and Microsoft Entra ID
• Strong reverse engineering skills across different systems on diverse technology stacks
• Advanced scripting skills, knowledge of multiple scripting languages and automation frameworks
• Team player and the ability to work with 3rd party vendors
• Good communication skills and an open style to provide transparency to management. English writing & fluency, German is an advantage
