Your Responsibilities:
- Mapping External Stakeholders: Identify and map key stakeholders in the UN and other international organizations in Geneva. This includes maintaining an updated list of contacts and understanding their roles and influence.
- Monitoring Policy Events and Conversations: Track and monitor relevant policy events, discussions, and conversations within the UN and other international organizations. Provide summaries and insights to the team.
- Organizing Convenings and Discussions: Assist in organizing and coordinating various convenings, roundtables, and discussions. This includes logistical planning, invitation management, and ensuring smooth execution of events.
- Coordinating Meetings and Events: Schedule and coordinate meetings and events for the UNIO team. This could include managing calendars, booking venues, preparing agendas, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Completing Special Projects: Undertake special projects as assigned by the team. This may include research, data analysis, report writing, and other tasks as needed
Your Skills:
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communication, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and provide insightful summaries and reports.
- Event Coordination: Experience in organizing and coordinating meetings and events, including logistical planning and execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Independent Worker: Ability to work independently and take initiative in completing tasks and projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Political Science, Business Administration).
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an international organization or NGO.
- Fluency in English; another language is a plus.
