On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for an Advisory Risk Specialist.

Location: Zürich

Start date: 13.01.2025

End date: 31.12.2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advisory support in the daily management of business risks related to the risk framework, ensuring governance standards are met.
• Work on front-end initiatives and projects, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and review risk frameworks, while offering expertise in advisory risk frameworks, ensuring they are up to date and aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to advise on the implementation of regulatory projects and ensure compliance, with a particular focus on MiFID and FIDLEG regulations.
• Conduct data analysis using Excel, developing insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement in risk management practices.
• Take ownership of smaller initiatives, assisting with risk management topics on a more localized scale while maintaining focus on the larger strategic objectives.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the regulatory environment, with a deep understanding of MiFID and FIDLEG regulations.
• Advise teams on the development and maintenance of regulatory forms and documentation, ensuring they are accurate and compliant.
• Analyze business and regulatory data to identify trends and risks, offering actionable insights and solutions.
• Ensure that all advisory services and risk management activities are aligned with the company's governance and regulatory policies.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Proven experience in regulatory projects, suitability, and advisory topics, particularly in governance and risk at IWMS (Investment and Wealth Management Services)
• Strong familiarity with advisory risk frameworks and experience in developing and maintaining them.
• Expertise in regulatory environments, ideally with a focus on MiFID and FIDLEG.
• Hands-on experience working with small initiatives and front-end risk topics, as well as participating in larger-scale risk management frameworks.
• Proficiency in data analysis with Excel, including the ability to generate insights from large datasets to guide decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in the application of governance standards in the context of risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education, Training, and Certifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or training in risk management, regulatory compliance, or advisory services (e.g., MiFID, FIDLEG certifications) would be an advantage.
