Description:

Our client, a renowned consulting firm, is seeking a seasoned SAP PP (Production Planning) Consultant with 10 to 15 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in SAP PP, including at least 2 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, and a proven track record in managing complex projects.

Responsibilities:

• Functional Remediation: Address and resolve functional issues within SAP PP, ensuring effective system performance and alignment with business needs.
• Sales and Production Planning: Develop and manage sales and production plans, optimizing planning processes.
• Routing and Batch Management: Configure and manage routing processes and batch management to support efficient production workflows.
• Scheduling and Long-Term Planning: Implement effective scheduling and long-term planning strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Demand Management and MRP: Oversee demand management and material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure optimal capacity planning and production orders.
• Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO): Develop and implement MTS and MTO strategies to meet production and order fulfillment requirements.
• Integration and Testing: Perform integration test cycles on end-to-end processes and troubleshoot technical issues related to SAP PP modules.
• Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to junior PP consultants, and work with third-party interfaces such as manufacturing execution systems.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in SAP PP, with at least 2 years on SAP S/4HANA, including experience in complex and multiple projects (brownfield experience preferred).
• Configuration Skills: Strong hands-on experience with SAP PP module configuration.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with new SAP S/4HANA innovations such as PP/DS and MRP Live. Knowledge of SAP Digital Manufacturing practices is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive deliverables with junior consultants.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP PP master data objects and S/4HANA Fiori Apps related to PP.
  • Competency in performing integration tests and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Experience working with interfaces to third-party applications.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in both German and English.
• Location: Remote with one trip per month to Schaan, Liechtenstein.
