Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, a large bank in Switzerland, we are looking for a Business Analyst.

Location: Zürich

Start date: 16.09.2024

End date: 30.06.2025

Main responsibilities

• Take on project responsibilities in the area of trade booking, trade position management, market making, life cycle and risk management
• Analyze and document existing processes/workflows and propose and review necessary changes in the context of IT architectural changes
• Set up roadmaps and track implementation of changes
• Interface analysis and specifications together with IT stakeholders
• Act as interface to various stakeholders (Product Management and Product Owners, IT, IT Architects, Traders, Sales, Treasury, Mid/Back Office, Risk Management)
• Write user stories in alignment with product owners/management and business stakeholders Specify stories and tasks together with technical stakeholders
• Plan the execution of stories and tasks and track their progress
• Test, control and document the implementation of stories and tasks, align the results with stakeholders, especially on the business side
• Drive change management (changing setups, changing user interfaces) by leading and managing the relevant stakeholders

Your skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
• At least 8 years work experiences in the trading area as project/process manager or product owner/manager
• In-depth knowledge in one or several trading asset classes (Equities, Equities Derivatives, Fixed Income, Interest Derivates, FX Cash & Derivatives, Structured Products Physical Precious Metals), cross-asset experience is an advantage
• Proven experience to implement and integrate new trading, position, risk and market making systems on the trading floor, experience with sales applications
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team player with close cross-team engagement and collaboration in an international environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders
• Fast understanding of big picture topics, paired with attention to details whenever required in terms of technical specifications and interface definitions
• Experience to manage backlogs, user stories and familiarity with agile methodologies, incl. knowledge of product management tools such a Jira, Confluence, Miro
• Fluent in English, German is a plus
