Overview of contract

On behalf of our client, an IT Consultancy company in Zürich, we are looking for a Cloud Applications Development Specialist.

Location: Remote

Start date: 15.01.2024

End date: 31.12.2026

Main responsibilities

• Responsible of software development, quality management and IT operations in an agile way.
• Collaborate as a team with AM, admins, and developers.
• Take care over the management of the entire development cycle of the software.
• Make immediate changes or optimizations if necessary.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in German and English (at least B2 level) is a prerequisite for personnel employed in this role.
• Expert knowledge of the VW ITSM toolchain and the ability to navigate existing ITIL processes.
• Verifiable references in the development of cloud applications.
• Experience in setting up and managing tools and processes for the automated provisioning of systems in the field of cloud computing and with infrastructure as code methods and tools
• Knowledge in the development and use of modern technologies in cloud environments (containers/Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, ELK, …)
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Cassandra, MongoDB, DynamoDB, MySQL, …)
• Advanced knowledge in the area of the scripting languages Python and Ruby for bug fixes and extensions in various areas (e.g. Terraform, Heat, Cloud Formation, Cookbooks)
• Knowledge of software development as well as current software architecture trends and technologies (e.g. microservices, 12-factor apps, continuous delivery)
• In-depth knowledge in the field of modern and currently used network protocols and the technical processes required for the various network layers.
• Practical experience in the administration of productive network environments.
• Experience with tools and processes for the automated provisioning of systems in the field of cloud computing and wit infrastructure as code methods and tools.
• Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, kanban, SAFe,…)
