Overview of the position:

On behalf of our client, a large insurance company in Zürich, we are looking for an IT Security Architect to work on a strategic initiative. The role focuses on evaluating a proposed solution's alignment with the company's Policies, Guidelines, and Technical Measures.

Main responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive security assessment of the proposed initiative, identifying risks and gaps.
• Ensure the solution complies with the company's security policies, guidelines, and technical frameworks.
• Collaborate with project teams, providing security recommendations and best practices.
• Design or validate secure architectures and configurations tailored to the project's needs.
• Develop detailed security assessment reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on relevant industry standards and integrate them into evaluations.
• Engage with internal teams to understand group-level security measures and implement consistent approaches.

Your expertise:

• A University degree in computing or similar plus the CISSP certification or similar would be a plus
• 5-7 years of experience in IT Security, with a focus on security architecture and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
• Familiarity with insurance industry regulations and standards is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in conducting risk assessments, creating security designs, and documenting processes.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security, network security, and application security.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in English, plus conversational German, any other European languages a plus
