Overview of contract:

On behalf of our client, a large bank in Zürich, we are looking for a Scheduling Engineer to join a fun and vibrant team. In this role, you thrive in automation and governance of job scheduling. Your role will be to streamline job development, maintain standards and drive automation to scale current development and deployment of jobs. Your background should be in software development with several years of automation experience within job scheduling.

This is a fixed term contract starting October 2024 until December 2026.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automation strategies for job scheduling to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Drive best practices in governance to ensure standardization and compliance across all projects.

Your expertise:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Several Years proven experiences in Software Development and a good understanding of the common software design patterns.
• Good knowledge of the common infrastructure- and software architecture and the ability to link them together.
• Proficiency in Oracle DB SQL, respectively as Oracle Senior DBA
• Proficiency in software development languages and tools relevant to Automatic Automation (Java, JavaScript, python …)
• Solid experience with Automic Automation (UC4) with a distinct focus on automation and governance
• Knowledge in the area Job Scheduling (Automic Automation) Host Scheduling (OPC/TWS) desired.
• Proven Experiences in API programming, integration, and design, like REST, Java, JSON and YAML
• Fluency in English and German
