We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team for a client project based in Ittigen, Bern. In this role, you will manage and automate virtualized platforms using VMware technologies. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in network configuration automation and the operation of mission-critical platforms. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing complex system environments, ensuring efficient and secure operational processes.

Contract type: 3 months project
Location: Bern
Work model: Hybrid (Home office by agreement)
Workload: 100%, 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
Main Tasks:
- Manage and operate virtualized environments using VMware technologies.
- Automate network configurations and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure system availability.
- Support 24/7 operations by participating in an on-call rotation.
- Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop customer-oriented solutions while maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
Requirements:
- German: A1 (Beginner)
- English: C1 (Advanced)
- Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, particularly in virtualized environments and VMware technologies.
- Certifications: NSX-T, VMware vSphere, vCloud Director (VCD), Cisco CCNP/CCNA or similar.
- Experience in networking and automation.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools such as GIT, Ansible, Python, CI/CD.
- Independent, customer-oriented work style with the ability to assess complex situations.
