Experis is a globally leading provider of personalized recruitment solutions and IT specialists.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer for our client. You will be responsible for the development and operation of a Liferay web portal and will work closely with an agile team.
Start: ASAP or by agreement
Duration: 10/2024 to 05/2025 (with the option for extension)
Location: Zurich
Work model: On-site (up to 3 days home office by arrangement)
Workload: 100% (40 hours per week)
Language Requirements:
- German: C2 - Mastery or Proficiency
- English: C1 - Effective Operational Proficiency or Advanced
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate the Liferay web portal for a prestigious client as part of a DevOps team.
- Collaborate with the team and the client to gather and refine requirements for the portal using the Scrum framework.
- Design solutions and implement them agilely within the Scrum process.
- Work with internal and external suppliers and partners.
- Independently develop software solutions: create new software or features, write clean code, and perform testing. Ensure that the product runs smoothly and can be handed over without issues.
- Identify options and develop the best solutions for the business, considering functionality, cost, and implementation time.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in software development.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.
- Strong knowledge in web application development (full stack).
- Good understanding of application integration.
- Experience with web portals.
- High willingness to learn, independence, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of development with Liferay.
- Experience with React.
- Familiarity with container technologies and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Docker, OpenShift).
- Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
