Currently, we are actively seeking a qualified BO IMS Core Network Engineer to reinforce the Swiss Core Network Team of our client. In this role, you will operate within an international and dynamic environment, collaborating closely with various functional units and stakeholders within Huawei Technologies Switzerland AG. The direct reporting line extends to the Core Network Team Leader.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide standby service (24/7), in adherence to local regulations.
• Diagnose customer trouble tickets and offer support to the Global Network Operations Center (GNOC) for 2nd/3rd line network faults (Network Trouble Tickets).
• Furnish technical assistance to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of significant network upgrades or expansions.
• Collaborate directly with Deployment and Project Management, providing technical support for the punctual and high-quality execution of network upgrades or extensions.
• Monitor and uphold the operational status of the Core Network by regularly assessing trouble ticket reports and performance statistics.
• Cultivate strong relationships with third parties (e.g., vendors TAC/GTAC) to effectively track the progress of reported issues, known caveats, newly available features, software upgrades, and hardware products.
• Contribute to the design, engineering, testing, and rollout of newly defined products.
• Prepare requisite configurations and validations for new installations and upgrades.

Must-Have Skills:

• Degree in Telecommunication or Computer Science
• Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in CORE Network operation and management
• Fluent in English, proficiency in local languages (German, Italian, French) is considered advantageous
• Previous experience with Operators' O&M Departments or other Managed Services Organizations is viewed as a positive attribute
• Possess comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of CORE Network architecture
• Demonstrate expertise in CS/IMS Core Network, ideally with Huawei equipment: vIMS, vSBC (VoIP), SVC solution (Single Voice Core), MGW/UMG, MSOFTX/MSS
• Proficient in key communication protocols such as SIP, DIAMETER, SS7/MAP, CAMEL/CAP, SCCP/TCAP, DTAP/RANAP, (GTP, TCP/IP, S1)
• Capable of provisioning/configuring all CORE Network elements
• Proven ability to actively participate in large-scale projects, implementing project requirements, and providing project technical support
• Capacity to comprehend process frameworks and support process implementation and optimization
• Extensive experience in drafting technical or operational specifications and understanding requirements from customers or field forces
• Solid understanding of security rules and standards
• Proficient in UNIX systems and applications
• Familiarity with Huawei NFV virtualized solutions.
