About the Role
Our client, a leading company in its industry, is looking for an IT System Administrator to join their Geneva office. You will play a key role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure, working with a mix of on-premise and cloud technologies. This role requires hands-on experience with Windows servers, virtualization, networking, and security, as well as the ability to handle projects, vendor relationships, and support escalations.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Windows Server, VMware, and Active Directory
✅ Support business-critical trading applications, ensuring system availability and performance
✅ Handle patch management, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Windows-based systems
✅ Work with Citrix, Exchange, SQL Server, and NetApp storage solutions
✅ Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement IT projects
✅ Provide 3rd line support and assist with escalations from 1st and 2nd level support teams
✅ Occasional travel to remote office locations for system setup and maintenance
Your Profile
✔ 5+ years of experience as an IT System Administrator
✔ Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016+), VMware ESXi/vCenter, and Active Directory
✔ Experience with Veeam backup technologies and Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
✔ Solid knowledge of SQL Server administration and Exchange Server (2016+)
✔ Good understanding of networking concepts (DMZ, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing)
✔ Experience with SCCM patch management and Microsoft 365/Azure AD
✔ Proactive mindset, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong problem-solving skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
➕ Scripting experience with PowerShell or Python
➕ Experience with Centreon Monitoring and Nutanix solutions
➕ Knowledge of Power BI for reporting and automation
