Machine Learning Engineer

On behalf of our Pharmaceutical client in Basel, we are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with experience in machine learning or MLOps, ideally within the life sciences domain, to support the development of data-driven solutions.
Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and LLM-based multi-agent frameworks from the perspective of an engineer is required.

This role requires good skills in software development and team working.

The perfect candidate:

Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, with a solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.
REST API Design: Deep knowledge and experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
CI/CD and DevOps: Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment using GitLab, GitOps, and Kubernetes for hosting services is advantageous.
Familiarity with implementing user interfaces is a plus.
High-Performance Computing: Prior experience working in HPC environments is beneficial.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

* Provide agile software development services for the "Target Evaluator" project according to the project plan
* Provide technical consulting services to support the project team


Must Haves:

* Educational background: Bachelor or higher education
* Professional background in a similar role: around 5 years experience
* IT skills: Python, CI/CD, REST API design, ML engineering
* Language skills: English fluent
