MES Engineer

Job Description:

Experis is a global leader in professional resourcing and project-based workforce solutions. Currently we are seeking a skilled MES Engineer for a 6-month contract on behalf of a client in the Electronics Manufacturing Industry.

As an MES Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain MES systems, focusing on recipes, parameters, and routing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation.
• Provide technical support and training to team members and stakeholders.
• Work on-site 4 days a week, with one day remote.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Proficiency in German & English (B2 level or higher).
• Educational Background: Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with MES system implementation.
• Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs (not focused on hardcore PLC programming).
  • Familiarity with Python, SQL, REST API, and MQTT.
  • Experience with MES systems like 42Q and Middleware such as Soffico/Orchestra.
• Personal Attributes: Proactive, good communicator, and self-reliant.

Nice to Have:

• Proficiency in German & English (B2 level or higher).
• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of REST API, messaging systems, and modern hybrid systems (cloud/on-prem).
