On behalf of our Pharmaceutical client in Zug we are looking for a SAFe ART Program Team Support & Coach

Background:
The GCS Project & Portfolio Management is looking for a new team member to serve as program management support and coach of 7 agile teams within a cross-site SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) in the Diagnostics service organization. Together with the Product Manager and the RTE, ensure proficiency of ART ways of working, with a strong focus on quality and consistency of backlogs and program plan, and reporting framework. Additionally, coach Product Owners and Scrum Masters for planful, detailed work breakdown and delivery roadmap of ART solutions.(in the area of Enterprise Content Management, Knowledge Management, AI).

The perfect candidate is an expert with Agile methodologies and principles, as well as the SAFe framework and its core principles. To emphasize said expertise the person must have a Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification. Lastly, the candidate is very experienced in a Scrum Master role within a SAFe implementation in an international environment and is fluent in English.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Co-responsible for ensuring that our ART operates seamlessly, delivers and reports results in line with the committed 2-years strategic roadmap
  • In close alignment with ART Product Management and RTE: Effectively support Agile practices across seven agile teams; facilitating alignment, agile ceremonies, and ensuring robust dependency management
  • Backlog management: Work with POs and Scrum Masters to set up and maintain a work breakdown structure including dependencies, which makes logical and practical sense from the perspective of engineering and delivery of a complex product. To this end, familiarize with technical and business objectives of the teams. Be ready to actively co-author backlog items if needed.
  • Program Plan: Projecting backlog to a short/mid/long term timeline and making it traceable and reportable on different aggregation levels
  • Permanent Quality Assurance with all teams for completeness, consistency and up-to-dateness of the plan
  • Further advance ART templates and develop best practice reporting formats for ART delivery (Jira & AgileHive based)
  • Ensure the ART complies with the portfolio and project framework of the Global Customer Support (GCS) organization, and be the interface between the ART and the GCS Project & Portfolio Excellence and Finance chapters
  • Help optimizing ART practices in other formal compliance areas, such as Jira-integrated requirements and test management (together with Validation Lead)
  • Passion for Agile methodologies, helping to promote continuous improvement and foster a culture of collaboration
  • Possibility to be considered: Combine this role with a 50% assignment as Scrum Master of a single agile team within the ART


Must Haves:

  • Min. a Vocational degree
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies and principles
  • Strong understanding of the SAFe framework and its core principles
  • Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
  • Proven experience in a Scrum Master role within a SAFe implementation in an international environment
  • Mastery of Jira-based backlog management and planning tools / plugins
  • Proven ability to guide and coach multiple Agile teams
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Fluency (spoken and written) in English is mandatory (other languages are optional)


Nice to Have:

  • Advanced SAFe certification (such as SAFe Program Consultant - SPC)
  • Previous experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • Experience with AgileHive
  • Background in software development or technical expertise in the area of concern (Knowledge Management, Enterprise Content Management, AI)
