Role Overview

For our client, a bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take charge of a pivotal strategic initiative. This position encompasses full responsibility for the planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery of critical business outcomes. The ideal candidate will collaborate across various departments and teams to ensure the seamless integration of business and technology objectives, promote clear communication, manage risks effectively, and keep the project firmly aligned with overarching strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of a strategic initiative, ensuring quality, timing, and client satisfaction.
• Identify and engage senior stakeholders, fostering alignment through clear communication channels.
• Coordinate cross-team and vendor activities, ensuring seamless collaboration and goal alignment.
• Address conflicts and dependencies, working with team leads to adjust priorities effectively.
• Assess and mitigate risks, maintaining robust risk management throughout the initiative.
• Drive transparency and regulatory alignment through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and lead steering forums, tracking decisions, actions, and outcomes.
• Maintain a delivery roadmap, ensuring milestones are achieved and obstacles addressed.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in project management or agile roles, preferably in financial services or technology industries.
• Extensive knowledge of agile frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are advantageous but not required.
• Proven success in leading large-scale strategic initiatives with a results-driven approach.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align business and technology teams effectively.
• Thrives in high-pressure environments, demonstrating adaptability and a focus on delivering value.
