OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

The Business Process Excellence Expert is responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimization of Site business processes across all departments. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand established processes and drive the implementation of optimizations, enhancements, and improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization towards increased agility and simplifications of our ways of working.The role acts as a change champion (e3+) and facilitates transformation.

SCOPE:

The role is expected to lead deployment of continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma elements, Organizational Change Management (e3+) and provides related coaching. The role will manage lean and problem-solving certifications, and acts as a change agent for transformation

This position supports initiatives delivering 3% to 5% COP (Core Operating Profit) savings of addressable spend in scope/annum

This role is site and/or Operating Unit specific with an expectation of supporting strategic imperatives goals and objectives within the organization.

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations management role, with a strong focus on Business Process Management and Business Process Reengineering (BPR) , Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent work-experience
  • Self-starter with the ability to produce measurable success
  • Excellent knowledge of lean management in office environment and problem-solving methodologies
  • Strong financial and business management acumen with an eye for identifying opportunities to achieve efficiencies
  • Strong digital acumen with relevant experience in Power BI, RPA and AI/ML
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving projects from inception to successful completion
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead complex projects, manage timelines, and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to solving problems and driving process improvements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of business operations and financial management principles
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management
  • Proven successful process improvement in key performance indicators, such as cycle time, throughput, or quality and change management implementation
  • Fluency in French and English language

Desired:

  • A master's degree (MBA or M.Sc.)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing software (e.g., SAP, MES, Minitab, etc.) and Business Process Management software (RPA, Bizagi, ARIS, AI…)

Accountabilities:

  • Provide expertise in business process management and modeling, ensuring alignment with Takeda's Business Process Architecture.
  • Identify, Map and document current business processes related to our Biotech Manufacturing site, including workflows, key activities, inputs, outputs, and interdependencies.
  • Analyze these processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas where improvements can be made and redesign processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize cycle times.
  • Develop more agile and adaptable processes that can quickly respond to new opportunities or shifts in the drug discovery landscape.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate new technologies, such as AI/ML, and automation into our business processes.
  • Design systems that facilitate the automation of repetitive tasks and data analysis to free up valuable resources for critical thinking and decision-making.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of newly implemented processes.
  • Continuously review process performance and make iterative improvements to adapt to new challenges and organization evolutions.
  • Identify potential risks associated with new and existing processes and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Lead change management to ensure that changes in business processes are accepted and effectively implemented across the organization.
  • Communicate changes and benefits effectively to all stakeholders to foster buy-in and smooth transitions.
