On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced:

Software Architect (Microservices & Spring Boot) - Contract

Location: Bern - hybrid (3 days home office possible after onboarding process)

Type of employment: 10-month contract with possibility to extend.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with a team of experts to redesign and develop the existing microservices architecture.
• Apply proven software architecture standards to design, implementation, and approach based on project needs.
• Utilize expertise in microservice architecture and Spring Boot to enhance automation for order generation and processing.
• Review and improve architectures, ensuring scalability, stability, performance, extensibility, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure correctness, maintainability, and adherence to development standards.
• Actively contribute to the development of a new software solution.

What You Bring:

• Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Must-have skills:
• Experience leading multiple software development projects involving complex, enterprise-ready solutions.
• Deep knowledge of microservice architecture and hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to solve complex technical challenges and propose improvements.
• Familiarity with software design patterns and software engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Nice-to-have skills:
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of model-driven development and software-defined networking (SDN).
• Experience in mentoring and guiding team members.
